Morrison’s Leave Tomorrow for Medical Volunteer Trip

Morrison Vein's Blog

Everything is packed, all details are finalized and the Morrison’s are ready to leave tomorrow for their annual medical volunteer trip to a third world. This year they are taking 2 RN’s, 2 support staff, hundreds of compression stockings, and lots of medical supplies from Morrison Vein Institute to treat patients with vein disease for free in Nicaragua.

Terri Morrison RN and Nick Morrison MD co-founded Amigos De Salud, the non-profit that supports these medical trips, over 20 years ago. They have traveled to Central or South America to provide free medical care annualy since Amigos De Salud began. 40-60 volunteer physicians, nurses, other clinicians and support staff from all different medical specialties travel with the Morrison’s every year to perform surgeries and medical care to more than 1000 patients in the week they are there.
